​​1. Throw the poke ball on the Pokémon with a curve : 

Hold down the poke ball and do circular motions until the poke ball starts to spin and starts to shine out stars. Poke ball needs to be thrown on the Pokémon with a curve. Throw from left of the Pokémon if spinning clockwise, else from right if spinning anti-clockwise.

Along with curving, If you get a 'Nice' or 'Great' it will greatly improve the chances of getting the Pokémon.

2. USE Stardust and Candy Wisely

Usually Evolving Pokémon takes Candy, while powering up a Pokémon costs Candy+ Stardust. Its usually good to evolve your Pokémon than to powerup depending on the Pokémon.

3. USE Gym to train your Pokémon 

Gyms have levels. The higher level the gym, more members from your team can put their pokemon in that gym. This will make it harder for challengers to takeover.

4. Pidgey, Weedle and Caterpie takes only 12 candies to evolve

A Pidgey, Weedle and Caterpie evolves very fast and takes less candies to evolve. 

5. Try Places with multiple poke stops

Try populated areas like Downtown, Cities, parks etc. Usually parks with water or saltwater beach parks have lots of poke stops and will ensure that you will never run out of Poke Balls.  

6. Throw the poke balls when the rings appear.

Throwing the poke balls when rings appear increases the chances of you getting the Pokémon.

7. Use Razz Berry to feed the Pokémon to make it easier to catch.

Using Razzberry to feed the Pokémon before throwing the poke ball at the Pokémon to make it easier to catch the Pokémon.

8. Use the Great Ball you get at Level 12 wisely.

After level 12 when you get Great Ball use it to catch the rare Pokémon's instead of using the Poke Ball

9. Use the Lucky Egg when you are likely to get more XP

Using lucky egg helps you to double the XP you get for 30 minutes. So use them wisely when you are sure to get the maximum XP for the next 30 minutes.

10. Use Incense when you see rare Pokémon's around

Use the Incense lures wild Pokémon to your location for 30 minutes. The lure follows you whereever you go for next 30 minutes.

11. Use Lure Module to help your friends

Use Lure Module to attract Pokémon to a poke stop for 30 minutes which benefits you and other nearby.

12. Use the Egg Incubators to hatch the eggs, 10Km egg will evolve into some rare Pokémon's.

Use the egg incubators to hatch the eggs. Usually you will see eggs that hatch after 2Km, 5Km and 10Km. 10Km egg will evolve into some rare Pokémon
