How to Simplify Life.

Updated: Jun 12, 2021

Ways to Simplify Life: Keeping your life simple, refers to being organized means keeping your things in their proper places. Organizing helps to keep things in order, by storing things properly and by labeling storage spaces.

Example: A cup holder for your pens and pencils should go in an easily accessible place, but the rarely used craft materials can be stored out of sight.

Also, it is very important to TRAIN YOURSELF TO PUT THINGS BACK IN THEIR SPOT.

To start organizing, you can start by printing or writing "Throw Away," "Donate" and "Arrange" on 3 separate pieces of paper and tape each sign to 3 large boxes.

Throw Away items that are broken, stained, stinky, outdated or have missing parts. Some examples include:

1. Expired food 2. Restaurant or grocery receipts or miscellaneous bills that aren't tax deductible 3. Broken electronics, appliances and games that don't work. 4. Old makeup and broken jewelry or accessories that has missing parts or does not work. 5. Broken kids' toys or torn books. 6. Old craft supplies. 7. Worn clothing and clothing that does not fit.

Donate any items that you no longer need but that are still in good condition. If you can't let go of a sentimental or memorabilia , take a photo of it, to help free your attachment.

Arrange: Now things that do not Fall in Throw Away or Donate category falls in Arrange Category. You can arrange the items in their respective boxes / Files / Storage and keep items of the respective category in their respective storage which has proper labels. Make sure not to name any storage as Miscellaneous as this is the box which will possibly clutter in future since this will be common box for all future clutters. Paper clutters are the hardest to control, but you just have to find a place for all important documents.

Follow these tips to help you arrange Paper Clutters:

1. Enter information from documents/ cards into a digital contact list, and toss the hard copies which not be required to be stored. 2. Come up with a system to file bills and important paperwork in files. 3. Make any needed store returns, and get rid of receipts and bills.

Go through the clutter in your home, throw away everything in the "Throw Away" bin and donate items in the "Donate" bin. Clutter can easily build right back up before you know it. Repeat these steps of organizing once clutter builds up to keep your home clutter free.
